With so many books becoming movies these days you can sense a definite trend happening. How do you feel about that? Do you think its awesome to see the books you love become movies or do you think it ruins them? And what upcoming book-made-into-movie are you most excited about?
I think novels becoming movies is a fantastic idea! It causes fans to revisit the novels they love in a new way and causes people who never even knew this amazing movie was a book in first place become new fans and possibly become readers. There are times when things go wrong like when books are made into TV shows. Either they change the characters appearances completely and/or they change the story line completely. But I kind of like that though, because then its like a whole new book. Its like they put the deleted scenes in and you see what could have happened.
Now the upcoming book-into-movie I am excited for is The Host by Stephenie Meyer. I loved Twilight, but I just couldn't get into The Host. A lot of people told me once you get past the first 50+ pages you will love it, but I just can't force myself to try again. Sometimes some stories are better as movies so hopefully I will love the movie and then I can try the book one more time =D
So, how do you feel about the new trend to make money? And what movie are you most excited for? Let me know in the comments below =]
