Some things are worth waiting for...
Traveling thousands of miles from home to enter college is the only way nineteen-year-old Avery Morgansten can escape what happened at the Halloween party five years ago--an event that forever changed her life. All she needs to do is make it to her classes on time, make sure the bracelet on her left wrist stays in place, not draw any attention to herself, and maybe--please God--make a few friends, because surely that would be a nice change of pace. The one thing she didn't need and never planned on was capturing the attention of the one guy who could shatter the precarious future she's building for herself.
Some things are worth experiencing...
Cameron Hamilton is six feet and three inches of swoon-worthy hotness, complete with a pair of striking blue eyes and a remarkable ability to make her want things she believed were irrevocably stolen from her. She knows she needs to stay away from him, but Cam is freaking everywhere, with his charm, his witty banter, and that damn dimple that's just so... so lickable. Getting involved with him is dangerous, but when ignoring the simmering tension that sparks whenever they are around each other becomes impossible, he brings out a side of her she never knew existed.
Some things should never be kept quiet...
But when Avery starts receiving threatening emails and phone calls forcing her to face a past she wants silenced, she's has no other choice but to acknowledge that someone is refusing to allow her to let go of that night when everything changed. When the devastating truth comes out, will she resurface this time with one less scar? And can Cam be there to help her or will he be dragged down with her?
And some things are worth fighting for...
Review:
Ah-FREAKING-mazing!! Wait For You was completely not what I was expecting and I loved it! It was absolutely addicting, I couldn't put it down. I even stayed up till 8:00am reading it. Jennifer is ridiculously talented. I already knew that from reading her YA series, but now I know I need to buy and read all of her adult books too! Jennifer I will forever be obsessed with your books! lol
Let's start with Cam, because he was completely drool worthy! From page one of meeting him I fell in love. He is seriously the best guy out there for Avery. I couldn't think of someone better. He was trusting, understanding, strong, protective... I could go on and on about him, because he was absolutely perfect. At the same time he wasn't too perfect, he was still a human being. Which that really just makes him more perfect lol.
Next is Avery. She frustrated me so much sometimes, because she wouldn't open up to someone, but she was still very entertaining. I thought she was a great main character and easy to relate to for girls. I just wish she didn't keep so many secrets and stuck up for herself once in awhile.
Now I will not feel like this review is complete unless I talk about... THE SMUT!!!! Jennifer's YA books have a good dose of smut, especially for YA, which is why I knew she was going to do fantastic at New Adults. This book was packed full of dirty secrets and I couldn't get enough. I absolutely loved all of the smut in this book. I honestly couldn't have picked up a better book.
Finally I absolutely loved the ending. It couldn't have ended better and was such a great book. I cannot wait to read more by J.Lynn or Jennifer L. Armentrout.
Overall:
Summed up in one word? Ah-FREAKING-mazing!! Seriously, Jennifer, you are flawless! This book is just another example of why everyone needs to read everything you write. If I wasn't already a fan of yours this book would have made me one. I was a little nervous to read this book, because its a New Adult and I have only read her Young Adult stuff, but I was obviously a fool to doubt her writing abilities. This book was amazing and I plan to read every single book she ever writes.
